It is found in Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
22–28 cm (male up to 12% larger than female); 38–56 g. A large and conspicuous warbler with long graduated tail, rectrices tapered to tips.
A subdued whistle followed by loud “wheeechoo”.
Feeds on small invertebrates, including spiders (Araneae), and a wide variety of insects and their larvae.

বাংলাদেশ, কম্বোডিয়া, চীন, ভারত, ইন্দোনেশিয়া, লাওস, মালয়েশিয়া, মায়ানমার, নেপাল, পাকিস্তান, ফিলিপাইন, থাইল্যান্ড ও ভিয়েতনাম পাওয়া যায় ।
22-28 সেমি লম্বা ( মেয়ে পাখির চেয়ে পুরুষ পাখি ১২% বড়); 38-56 গ্রাম ওজন। দীর্ঘ বড় মাপের লেজ এদের অন্যতম বৈশিষ্ট্য ।
সুগায়ক বলা যেতেই পারে । সাথে উচ্চমাত্রার "wheeechoo" ধরনের হুইশেল বাজানোর মত ডাকও শোনা যায়।
ছোট অমেরুদন্ডী প্রাণী, মাকড়সা (Araneae), এবং বিভিন্ন ধরণের পোকামাকড় এবং তাদের লার্ভা থাকে এদের খাদ্য তালিকায়।
